Q: Do we receive another confirmation mail after submitting the corrections?

A: No, you will not get a fresh confirmation mail. You can proceed to the payment section.

Q: Why is there a difference between the registration fee mentioned in the brochure and that on the acceptance mail.

A: The charges in the brochure were tentative and inclusive of accommodation. The charges on the website and the confirmation mail show registration and accommodation charges separately. Also, there was a recent revision of accommodation charges upwards by 500. Please consider the information on the website/confirmation mail as the correct one.

Q: Is the conference registration fee per paper presentation or per conference participant?

A: The registration fee is mentioned per conference participant.

Q: My Abstract is accepted, and I have received the confirmation mail, but in the document attached, my name is mentioned only in the authors section and not in the participants section. Can I participate?

A: If you have received the confirmation, you need not worry and can proceed with the registration.

Q: My abstract is accepted, but the confirmation mail was received by only one person.

A: The confirmation mail is sent only to the person who submits that abstract.

Q: I cannot find my Abstract ID. Where can I locate it?

A: Your abstract id is mentioned in your acceptance mail. It canalso be seen when you login on the website.

Q: I can't find link for payment.

A: The link for payment is included in the acceptance mail. You can also access it from the website by going to “Call for Abstract” and then selecting “Conference Registration and Fee”.

Q: “Accommodation will be provided on first come first serve basis”. Does it mean first to register or first to reach the campus?

A: First come first basis is in terms of registration not physical presence. Only limited accommodation is available on campus and is allocated shortly after registration and payment of fees. The option to pay for accommodation within campus will be removed after all the rooms are booked.

Q: Can my family accompany me?

A: Yes, but your registration and accommodation fee only cover the participant’s expenses. You will have to make separate arrangements for your family members or friends.

Q: Would it be possible to get a single room if opting for accommodation within the campus? Can I share accommodation with my family members?

A: Yes, you can avail single accommodation or share accommodation with your family. However, you will have to pay extra Rs 1500. The Accommodation within IITR campus costs Rupees 3000 for 2 nights for the room. You can choose to avail single occupancy at rupees 3000 or shared occupancy at rupees 1500 for the duration of the conference. Do note that rooms within campus are limited and will be provided on a first come first serve basis. So, register early.

Q: Can my family attend all the events.

A: No, they can only attend your presentation. Conference Lunch, High Tea or Dinner are only for the participants.

Q: Do we get Wi-Fi facilities if we choose accommodation within the campus?

A: Yes, campus facilities within IIT Roorkee are all Wi-Fi enabled. Wi-Fi credentials will be provided during the physical registration.

Q: My abstract is accepted but I want to change my paper now. Can I do it?

A: No. The abstract submission window is closed now, and you cannot change it at this stage.

Q: Do I submit my completed paper during the conference or give a presentation?

A: You can choose between a PowerPoint Presentation or a Poster Presentation if attending physically. If opting for online mode, you need a 10 minute video of your PowerPoint Presentation. You also need to be available online for a QnA session post your video is played. Information regarding the paper will be shared at a later stage.

Q: Papers will be published in which journal?

A: A journal has not been finalized yet. The information regarding the publishing of papers will be shared to the participants if and when a journal is finalized. Details about the format will be shared accordingly.

Q: How will the certificates be distributed?

A: The certificates will be shared electronically through the registered emails after the completion of the conference.
